Soprano Mar Morán will make her debut in the role of Musetta in a new production of La bohème by Giacomo Puccini, to be performed at the Teatro Principal in Burgos on December 7 and 8, 2025. Musetta is a passionate and dazzling character, offering moments of great dramatic and musical brilliance—most notably the celebrated aria “Quando me’n vo’”, a true emblem of the operatic repertoire.

This highly anticipated debut also marks the return of the artist to the Burgos stage, where in 2024 she starred to great acclaim as Violetta Valéry in La traviata, receiving an enthusiastic welcome from both audiences and critics alike.

TRIBUTE TO CRISTÓBAL OUDRID
This program builds a bridge between recovered heritage and living tradition. The first half presents art songs for voice and piano by Cristóbal Oudrid, together with two zarzuela romanzas for soprano drawn from two of the four zarzuelas newly recovered and established in critical edition thanks to the initiative of Mar Morán and the funding of the Diputación de Badajoz, officially presented on 6 November 2025.
The second half pays tribute to Extremaduran folk song and to Manuel de Falla—in 2026 we mark the 150th anniversary of his birth and the 80th of his death—alongside Barbieri, Oudrid’s contemporary, with whom the recital closes. Oudrid and Barbieri stand among the central 19th-century composers in the history of Spanish zarzuela.
